45th Reunion
Hopefully, you’ve already made plans to travel to Northampton over Memorial Day weekend May 22-25, 2025. If you haven’t registered yet, there’s still time! This is a wonderful opportunity to see the campus at its most spectacular, meet new friends and celebrate with classmates that you may not have seen in years!
We have planned several events just for our class, along with class dinners and the traditional reunion activities. Our class headquarters will be in Chase, close to other activities on campus and a short walk from downtown.
At our Friday evening event, you’ll have the opportunity to share with classmates aspects of our lives that we have in common. For instance, join a table to talk about retirement, financial planning, elder care, travel, volunteering, promoting feminism in today’s world, Technology and AI, or what we can do to mentor and support younger Smithies.
On Saturday morning, you are invited to an exhibit and class panel featuring classmates who have been instrumental in bringing to life the exhibition Real Clothes, Real Lives. Currently at The New York Historical Society, the exhibit features clothes and costumes from the Smith College Theater Department. Panel members will discuss the history of the archive, the process of writing the accompanying catalogue and the challenges of mounting the exhibition.
On Thursday evening, the College will host an all-campus dinner and the Art Museum will welcome alums during special Thursday opening hours.
Throughout the weekend, you will have plenty of time to wander around the campus and Northampton, and see how much has changed in the past 45 years. The newly designed Neilson Library, our renovated Alumnae House, and the Lyman Plant House and Conservatory are just a few of the favorite campus spots you might want to visit. We’re also planning some informal activities involving music (our class theme), at the residence halls for our class.
Even if you are unable to attend our 45th, please consider making a donation of any amount. Help us reach our class participation goals for this year’s reunion by making a contribution here.
Registration
Early bird registration ends on April 18, 2025. All meals will increase by $10 each after that date.
Don’t share your registration link as it’s tied to your registration and your personal data. (It’s how Smith knows who you are!)
If you did not receive an email with a personal registration link then you may have opted out of Smith emails at some point. Contact Reunion Registration for a unique link – reunionregistration@smith.edu or 413-585-2150.
Have general reunion questions? Check out the Smith Reunion website. https://www.smith.edu/about-smith/alum/reunion
Need special accommodations for dining or housing? There’s a place to request that in the registration process. Are you bringing a young child and would rather not bring the stroller up and down 3 flights of stairs? Do you have a food allergy? Are you on a medication that needs to be refrigerated? We can only accommodate what we know.
Financial Assistance Opportunities
In order to increase access to reunion, our class leadership team has set aside some funding from our class treasury for financial assistance.
Before you register, contact Sally Foster Erickson to let her know how much of a discount you need. Once approved, you will be sent a unique link to register that includes your discounts.
The College has made it easy this year with discounts for room and board that will be deducted directly from your registration fees; no reimbursement process required! Depending on how much help you need, you can ask for 50% off Housing and Meals, or 100% off Housing and Meals. (Housing is $160 and includes breakfast. Meals could be up to $189 if you select all offered. There is a Registration fee of $105 that cannot be discounted.)
Socks for Scholarships
Get your limited-edition Smith reunion socks and support scholarship aid! These socks are available to alums celebrating Reunion 2025 who make a new donation after April 1 of $70 or more to support scholarship aid. Learn more here.
Miscellaneous Reunion Tips
Be sure to bring your own water bottle! There are refillable hydration stations in the dorm. You will want to have something to drink during and after the alumnae parade and at other all campus events.
The college does not provide shampoo, soap or other toiletries. Don’t forget to pack what you need for the weekend.
You can find a list of who is attending by logging on to the reunion website. Note that attendees are not listed by house or class.
